Another VFR blog to add to my collection

I have decided to create a new blog following on from my others. I have come by a vfr750 f g the first gen model through luck on eBay. It was local to me so I bid on it, not expecting to win it but I did. It is a real heap, corrosion everywhere, but expected from a bike that has been left outside to rot for years. It’s a shame thst it has been treated like this. I took pity on it and will turn this into my next project. The first gen vfr is widely known as tough cooky, lighter and more pokey than the gen 2 which I have in my other blog. I haven’t decided what to do with it yet but looking it’s current state of repair will need to be completely rebuilt. The previous owner said it has run a few weeks ago, It even has an MOT, but I doubt it could have passed properly. Apart from the corrosion on the steel, the aluminium looks in good shape. The engine turns over and would cough to life but I didn’t peruse it any further. There was no coolant left in the system, the battery was dry( lead acid- non sealed type, ) the starter solenoid was fried too. Exhaust is rotten by the links as expected, where years of moisture collected inside and has just rotted through. The previous owner has simply wrapped heat foil wrap around the joints and used jubilee clips to hold it together.
My first thoughts are use my gen 2 yokes and forks and wheels, or my complete Trx front end. Junk the tank and use something else , Create  a rear subframe, use spare lying around that I have. could my cbr929 swingarm fir in the space, the width looks similar. Just thoughts. I’m not sure even to restore It to original but I like tinker too much. Look how I changed my other bikes!
